In 2009 we decided to use the Preventeo tool, initially for our regulatory monitoring in the areas of safety and the environment. GRDF has enjoyed working with Preventeo for several years. Preventeo has a great capacity to respond to the specific needs of a company.
At GRDF, we wanted a support tool for the analysis of occupational accidents and near-misses, using our own method. To achieve this, we jointly developed the first version of Rexteo. For risk assessment, we wanted a method that took account of previous experience in order not to confuse users for no reason, such as with risk estimation methods. Preventeo adapted Evaluteo for us. And we are currently developing a tool to help in the self-diagnostics of the company’s occupational health policy implementation, for each establishment. We have built a tool that focuses on qualitative measures and not just “score”.

Preventeo, a company that has targeted a growing and highly relevant niche – risk prevention – meets regulatory requirements while enabling any organisation to find answers tailored to the day-to-day concerns of safety and environmental managers, with great flexibility. The modules they propose make it possible to develop “your” Preventeo according to the specific requirements of each company. Certain additions are also very welcome, such as archiving and the hotline.
We have been working with Preventeo for more than 10 years. Initially, the goal was to find a simple solution for effective regulatory monitoring. The response has been satisfactory and we have gradually extended the system to support the requirements of ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 management systems to continue the certifications we obtained in 2002. This involved developing risk analyses, environmental analysis, periodic regulatory compliance inspections and the simplification of our day-to-day operations, in particular maintaining consistency between the various modules we use.
Over the years, we’ve added modules linked to the management of action plans, taking into account the notion of occupational stress and strain, and more recently the management of occupational accidents and associated feedback.
We are based in Sophia Antipolis, a few hundred meters from the headquarters of Preventeo. While this geographical concept is ultimately of little importance today, proximity is still a significant asset in terms of the discussions between our two companies.
The specific developments for which we are asking from Preventeo this year, as well as our shareholders’ e-Cloud constraints, receive fast and effective responses, with suggested specifications taken into account. This is proof Preventeo’s attentiveness, which has been maintained over the years, despite the growth of the company and the relatively recent installation into new premises. RTE
RTE (Electricity Transmission System) is a subsidiary of EDF. It manages the public, high-voltage electricity transmission network in France. RTE operates, maintains and develops very-high-voltage power lines and associated stations, which transport electricity from French power plants (from EDF and other electricity producers) to industrial customers and to the distribution network.

RTE discovered Preventeo through other subsidiaries of the EDF Group, notably ENEDIS and other companies such as GRDF. So of course we were interested in the capabilities of the company’s products. The tools chosen were the result of a need to industrialize our risk assessment, which until now had been processed using forms and office documents, which were tedious to update. It was through a call for tenders that Preventeo was selected.
Among all the solutions studied, Preventeo had the advantage of a single platform that natively met our needs. In addition to the Evaluteo module, we have also chosen to use the Rexteo module for the management of accidents, because the ability to link it with the risk assessment is fundamental for ongoing improvements in risk prevention.
The ergonmics of the Reglementeo and Conformiteo modules appealed to us. The presentation in the form of a questionnaire is a real advantage for the user. Moving from a complex and weighty risk management system to a very broad client base at the company level is one of the fundamentals of our safety management system. Preventeo products meet this need. The first discussions and the configuration of our software showed their ability to respond to understand our needs. In return our requirements become more numerous and we had to ask for the development of complementary functionalities.
The dynamism of the Preventeo team is an asset for the company and for the client, beyond technical discussions it is the human relationships that facilitate the functioning of a project team. Preventeo engineers are naturally part of the project team and share our commitments and objectives.
